Meadville Forging JBM Mill Foundation

This successful Mill foundation required the concrete foundation contractor to have deep knowledge of unisorb vibration control. Porter Foundations was chosen, and design engineers spread the base concrete bearing capacity to maintain the allowable soil pressure to prove this project well. Porter installed water stop and smooth perimeter wall and base sub-pours to get the maximum vibration control of the unisorb membrane. After the Mill was set in place, nonshrinkable grout was installed at recessed anchor bolts.
